Frequently Asked Questions

How can I help?

There are many ways that you can help frontline healthcare workers through the Vermont COVID-19 Volunteer Network. Whether it's by sewing, 3D printing, donating supplies or gifting us with monetary donations.

For 3D printing, what type of filament works best?

People who have volunteered with 3D printing have recommended PLA Plus 3D filament 1.75mm. Regular PLA 3D filament can be used but we have found that is not as strong and is not as flexible as the PLA Plus 3D filament.

I am a healthcare organization in need of PPE. How do I make a request?

If you would like to make a request for PPE, you may do so by filling out this form.

What type of fabric is recommended for face masks?

According to an article posted on the Huffington Post: "A study of homemade face masks by SmartAirFilters.com found that cotton T-shirts and cotton pillowcases are the best at-home materials for making DIY face masks, based on their ability to capture particles yet remain breathable, and that they perform comparably to surgical-grade masks."
